Itinerary
Our excursion starts early in the morning, once we take a good breakfast, our first stop is to be in Tempi, a green valley where is hidden the sanctuary of Saint Paraskeyi, the patron of those who suffer from vision ailments. Just next to the church of Saint Paraskeyi there is a small cave, deep inside the cave is flowing the holly water, a water that is said to make miracles.
Leaving the valley of Tempi, our next stop is in a byzantine icon workshop. At this workshop professional guides narrate you in short the techniques of icon drawing through the last years. Beside that, you will have the chance to see some of the rarest icons copies.
You will fLeaving this impressing workshop, finally we will drive to Meteora, enormous rocks that on each top is constructed monasteries. Accompanied by an experienced guide, we visit the monastery of Varlaam. Historical facts, customs, architecture, equipments are only some of the points that our excursion is concentrating on.
